  • I remember when, in the 1950's, Mountain Park was a destination for families on the afternoon of First Communion Day. Amidst the rides and the games the first communicant floated in the beautiful white dress and veil and enjoyed the looks of admiration, curiosity and respect! Not altogether in the most spiritual spirit of the day but God understood.

  • I had so many fun times at this park when I was a kid...I have a lot of pictures of me and my brother here

  • Oh man, I vividly remember that dinosaur exhibit at 2:46.

  • Total dirt park, but I loved it. I had often wondered whether it was still open. We moved in 1988; I didn't know until recently that it closed the year before.

  • Great video....lots of memories. By the way....it's Larry Chesky.....you spelled his name wrong.

  • I spent two summers working at Mt Park. This brought back fond memories:)

  • whenever I am having a bad day or I am just in a bad mood, I try to think about something I really enjoyed at some point.

I always end up thinking about being a kid at mountain park.

    That place was simply magical.

I would give my left you know what to go back to those times.

Thanks for the memories Mountain Park.

And thank you for posting his video.

  • isent there some concerts going on there now ..?

  • Wow! What a treat. My Dad used to take me and my sister to Mountain Park at least once every summer. We loved it. I was quite young at the time and remember being to scared to go on many of the larger rides. I spent a lot of time at kiddie land. Anyway, seeing this was great because my memories of Mountain Park were ransacked after seeing it in such disrepair shortly after it closed. I am glad to have them restored. Thanks!
