I will show you how to create a desktop alert for your Outlook 2010 e-mail account. If outlook is running in the background or in use, a windows will pop up stating the e-mail you have recieved. There is other software you can use, but this is built in to Microsoft Outlook 2010. All you have to do is create a rule and follow my simple steps.

  • Hi please i have a question you have imap email right but for me in tags ribbon i cant see categorize... why is that? and I have imap...

  • @nyreeani It seems as if Microsoft left this out. IMAP emails do not work as good as POP3 for some reason. Try writing to Microsoft so they could hopefully add this in, in a next update.

  • There is a plugin you can download that will display an envelope in the system tray. It's called the Outlook Email Notifier. Just search for "emil stefanov outlook email notifier".
