This is a blade detachment simulation, birds do not do that to an engine. Even engine failure due to birdstrikes don't explode like that. As for the coloured blade, it has the explosive planted underneath. You don't need to be an avionics engineer or similar to know this stuff...

Knob. Turbine blade failure video. Small explosives placed at base of highlighted orange blade. This is the effect of a turbine blade being consumed by the turbine itself. World Crap - YES INDEED!

shit

fuck off fucking bastard!
-
Yes, I agree. this is footage is of containment ring testing, where an explosive charge inside the turbine was detonated to demonstrate the containment ring structure surrounding the turbine would not be breached when the engine suffered a catastrophic failure.
-
You are are an idiot. They set off a charge on the blades to simulate a blade failure!
-
Thats a Blade Off Not a bird
-
That was a crap review, because you didn't call the test by the correct name.

this guy probably drives a white windowless van around pre-schools when he's not being as creepy as he as in this video

not a bird strike, your an idiot, as itman496 said it is a blades out test, the blades that are colored have explosive sheering charges set at the base of the blade. no birds anywhere in the video
\
Uh... That's a blade off simulation, not a bird strike simulation.

those engines can ingest birds with little to no major problems
