Ill-equipped, poorly paid and caught between NATO and the people, the Afghan Army is struggling to stand up to the Taliban as it is. We reveal why Obama may backtrack on the plan to double its size.
All the thirty-seven countries whose armies are in Afghanistan, they all have much better equipment and weapons than the Afghan army. All we have is belief and bravery. Sergeant Major Suniman complains that, unlike their foreign mentors, his troops have to fight in unarmoured vehicles. Not only this but theyre paid a pittance. Morale in this camp outside of Kabul, is at an all-time low. Theres not a single province that our battalion has not fought in and defeated the enemy, says one frustrated soldier. With conditions such as these, theres little incentive for Afghans to join the Afghan Army. They pay them five thousand Afghani, but we pay them fifteen thousand, says a proud Taliban leader. No longer trusted by the people, the Afghan Army has been unable to act as a bridge to the hearts and mind of the Afghans. Now even NATOs resources are not enough to win the psychological war that is being waged here: NATO has got all sorts of tanks, machine guns, everything you need for war, says Major Daud, but the enemy has the upper hand because they have a place amongst the people. Many in the Afghan Army feel that they can only win back the support of the people if the NATO forces leave and grant them the resources to fight their own war.

The greatest solution for the afghan soldiers and USA is that they rather plant bombs trough all the Afghan Pakistan borderline and by that we mean whole of the borderline,

that is the biggets problem !

Instead of killing the viruses while they already have entered the body, rather they should heal the WOUNDS FIRST!!

The afghans know how to fight for centuries they've kicked the asses of the best empires on earth and made them run home like cry babies. Like the british, the russians, caesar and more buy the need equipment give them the equipment, training and wadges they need to have a big loyal army so when we leave we know they will continue to finish what we started and steer afghanistan into a better future.

Who slaughtered People in the name of Allah is wrong doesnt matter muslim or christian this is the biggest sin in Islam. @afg040 By the way I am a Christian. God has set my heart on fire for people that have been wronged and opressed. I am not going to be some crazy revolutionist with a gun crying "justice!" I am going to use the genius God gave me to politicaly bring justice to the people. @afg040 No, I don't have any Afghan friends. The thing is, either American/Taliban/Soviet, it doesn't matter who the enemy is, God always tuggs my heart towards people that have been wronged and opressed. God has given me a heart to pursue justice for the lowest of people, and those that are treated as if they were worthless. I promise you friend, that my entire life will be devoted to bringing justice to people.
