I Stand Witness - A Prayer for the Inauguration

On November 4, 2008, CHANGE came to America and the world!

One of the foot soldiers in the march towards change was Obama Campaign volunteer Deborah Simon of San Jose, California. As she and her colleagues knocked on doors in Carson City, Nevada she was overcome by emotions as the profound reality of history in the making hit her.

Sober reflections on this reality led her to re-examine her own journey, how far she had come and who had paved the way for her to become who she is today. She recalled those in her lineage who lived courageously; standing for truth, standing for unity, unconditional acceptance and love. It was clear that her memory of their strength and courage made the impossible appear possible - a prayer began to form.

In honor of our ancestors and fallen leaders, inspired by the vision generated by our new President, we invite YOU to join us in affirmation and STAND WITNESS!
