While exploring the foxholes left by the paratroopers of Easy Company during the Battle of the Bulge, I stumble on a rare find- a chunk of shrapnel, most likely from a German 88. Could not believe it was sitting right on top of the pine needles- looked slightly out of place from the leaves so I picked it up. It was very heavy and slightly curved.
