fugu doesn't have much of a defined taste like other pieces of sashimi. its just different because there is a little bit of poison left in the flesh to make you lose feeling in your mouth, especially the tongue.
it is tough to eat, especially when cooked in the shabu shabu, so when eaten raw its often dipped in an acidic sauce.

hot pot... shabu shabu is like... hot pot... you got a pot full of boiling hot soup/broth and you cook it in the broth... shabushabu grub is usually thin so it cooks fast. I'm 2 months late to tell you but yeah
