You are very wrong, Dan, a voice like Thomas Quasthoff's comes from a compassionate heart and an empathetic soul, someone with the humility to let the music speak through him, a person with diligence, perseverance and dedication; NOT, as you suggest, merely from some highly developed vocal folds. With a good deal more people like Thomas Quasthoff in the public eye, and a good deal less vacuous, egocentric "celebrities", the world might just be a better place!
