  • hi, just incase of only a few fans know, both Harry Hosono and Yukihiro Takahashi are in a movie called Norwegian Wood. starring ken'ichi MATSUYAMA,(who's been my fave ) Rinko KIKUCHI. Harry plays a guy Who works at the record store, Yukihiro works as a guardman, only short scene each. rent a DVD and watch if you like. it's not about music, sorry for my mess.

  • @kenichisaitohchenii No mess at all! Thanks for the info. This is the kind of thing fans should share. Thanks again. Happy holidays! :)

  • Awsome but i have an interesting question - who is the founder of the band?

  • Haroumi Hosono [bass] formed YMO

  • Who is on drums?

  • David Palmer (uk band 'ABC')

  • fantastic song!

Sakamoto wrote for his daughter(betw Akko Yano), when she was little, and he was hoping that he can sing the song together in the future!

Thats why, he sings "I'm waiting for you to sing a song together"

This song makes me feel sooo happy!

  • Cor,these guys are perfection,not a mark on em.

  • where can I find "ballet" live?

  • @Tenniru

You're right, I noticed this a few weeks back; Sakamoto would not sing the 2nd verse it seems until that '83 farewell tour. Strange, I always thought the 2nd verse was great.

  • Beautiful Prophet sound.

  • This is the best version of the song.

In fact, all of YMO's best arrangements are on After Service. (In my opinion)

  • I think all of them sing on this song, but Takahashi is the lead.

  • Yes "interesting", but Sakamoto was never the best of singers :)

The Prophet-T8 in Ongaku is pretty awesome though

  • I really like this version of Behind The Mask. Usually they tended to skip the second verse ("there is nothing in your eyes"), which was kind of disappointing. It's also interesting to hear it sung without the vocoder.
