@KyleCarrington either that, or given the diode + the 100 ohm fixed resistor, the backspikes wont cause the switch, and there is too much resistance to get the job done, too?
Good video! When you want the basic SSG to self oscillate without a rotor, do you remove - to B diode? I've never got my official kit to self oscillate and it is set up exactly as in this diagram, yet when I wire my own circuit with say a 2n3055 ( my kit is a MJL21194) it works fine (same coil).
@KyleCarrington So, I removed the diode and now it will self oscillate. Sorry for buggin ya lol.
