I have been looking for this song for the past 19 years! I remember my mother would always listen to this as she cleaned the house. It has been stuck in my head since I was 4. Thank you so much for posting this! It means a lot!

One possible reason why they didn't go on: Claude McKenzie had a big drinking problem. Our governments shit in their pants when it comes to dealing with the Mohawks or the Cris for instance. However, they couldn't care less about the Innu and Algonquin nations, among others. I salute what the great songwriter Richard Desjardins is doing because he's one of the only few who really cares about the Natives.
