Spynet Voice Changer Mod

This is a toy voice changer by jakk's pacific that I got at Walmart and I've added 2 jacks to it an input and an output. at first I could only run a line in signal thru but I found out that I had crossed the 2 stereo channels. that is fixed now. Here I have a radio hooked to it and some talk show it on b/c of the copyright bologna on youtube. it has 6 different voice settings along with a pitch control. I can use an external mic on this thing now and I can hook it to a mixer but the sound quality isnt that great, about that of the older sound chips from the 90's. I have added a direct recording of the output of this unit to the end of the vid. if you have any ?'s or comments post em below. Thanks for watching.

hi, i am basically doing the same thing to this same toy, but instead of an input jack i am putting a piezo contact microphone in... and i'm using a 1/4th jack instead of a 1/8th. it is incredibly quiet unless i am touching one of the points on the jack. i have tried every combination of ground/common in the jack and it still isn't working. wtf am i doing wrong?

put the ground as the - Black wire on the microphone and the red wire as the common or have you tried this? The quality of this device before modding is terrible you have to yell into it to even hear it. so I would just remove the mic completely and just use an external mic. The speaker in this thing sucks so I just added an ext. speaker out.

Oh I made a cable like that. now I can hook any speaker up to anything with a 3.5mm headphone jack. so I can hook it to my computer speakers and play what i want thru them. I have this NXT exciter speaker that I ripped out of a singing birthday card.
