In this video I seek simply to establish that we live in a male dominated world, i.e. that western society is patriarchal. The reasons for this and issues of male versus female values will be explored in a later video. I try to simply present facts. .. & large asset managers & the assessment of risk is a joke.These teams are only slightly less testosterone filled then the traders they're supposed to be assessing & when I sat at a client the day after Lehman collapsed, I could see the way these "values" could corrupt and destroy. The values of the whole system is what I have an issue with,though I think that this will become drastically less pronounced as Webtech industries develop;industries more dependent on traditional "female" values.

Why are women so under represented in positions of power? I would never expect 50/50 in terms of job types, but when it comes to positions of power within different industries men are always over represented the higher up the chain you go even in female dominated industries like health care. The point is our system puts some values higher then others. And those values most valued are traditionally "male" values. I have worked in finance for the last 4 years, with risk teams at many hedge funds..

But hey, if you want to start the first national "Become a garbagewoman, female truck driver, construction worker, soldier" campaign, I'm with you.Women are seriously underrepresented in those fields, too, and that makes my, and I'm pretty sure, your egalitarian heart bleed.

And if you don't simply compare the average of all the female and all the male salaries, but actually take into account the workers age, expertise, the type and risk factor of the job, their overtime preferences etc. the wage gap pretty much disappears.Men earn more in average, because they tend to do more overtime, take the riskier, more stressful, dangerous, therefore better paying jobs.

Even though, they are completely free to choose, in fact, encouraged and financed by the government to become engineers, computer scientists, politicians etc., most of them are simply not interested in these fields, just like the majority of men are not interested in professional care giving, nursing etc.

It's utter nonsense to say, that unless women and men are 50-50 % represented in every type of job, every walk of life, they aren't equal and don't have the same opportunities.

These are well established facts.However, there is no reason to believe, that these figures are the results of social conditioning and gender oppression, as many believe.

Biological and sociological studies suggest, that males and females are innately different when it comes to interests, preferences.Females, especially in the most egalitarian societies, like Sweden or Norway, are generally pursuing carriers in human centered, social fields, like nursing, teaching, medicine etc.

@framboise595 God is not a male or female, God is both. LOL, the Father is NOT the origin of everything. Since when did a man give BIRTH? Both men and women are DIVINE. Got news for you, Patriarchy is destroying our world, it's not working, OBVIOUSLY! Men aren't doing such a great job, look at the world leaders, they are preDOMINATELY men. Need a lot more women in leadership roles to make this a better world!

The Father is the origin of everything , LIFE to begin with.

Fatherhood is a reflection of God on earth . No wonder why it is so attacked and despised in such a godless world.

The father is the invisible part that needs the VERB ( father gives HIS NAME to the child) to embody and have a major role .

What this world does to fatherhood is monstruous but men have always been Satan's most favourite target.
