  • Very nice photos! I've been to the Ansel Adams Wilderness several times in the early 80's. It was called the Minarets Wilderness back then. I've been to the four lakes you photographed. The mosquitos at Lake Ediza were really bad when I went. How was it for you?

    Happy trails! :-)

  • @jdh501

We generally had lower than "average" mosquitos on this hike, but Ediza was our worst location. Maintaining its reputation?

  • Thanks much. My early hiking was east in the Smokies and I have done a fair amount in Rocky Mountain National Park. This summer was my first time in the Sierras. The mountains and lakes were great, but I also loved the meadows with clear running streams.

I'm planning a trip to the Ansel Adams this summer with some friends here in CA. We're gonna start at Devil's Postpile. Take care, friend.
