What a unique interpretation! It was worth every second to listen to... But really no one plays this piece like him :)

@thnurd Beautifully put. I adored his playing and was fortunate enough to hear him live several times. Most unforgettably with the NYPhil - Bach E Major and Schumann Violin Concerto (a piece he owns to this very day). There were so many staggeringly brilliant violinists who were contemporaries of Szeryng, he often gets a bit forgotten in the crowd, however he is, always was and will always remain the insider tip nec plus ultra.

Words fail me ...
This is my favorite interpretation of this piece. Virtuosic yet tasteful. Szeryng was truly one of the greatest violinists of all time.
