Engine No.1 of Class 101 M51188, a Leyland 680, struggles but eventually manages to start on a very cold winters morning in December 2009. The temperature was below freezing and there was lying snow on the ground in the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway's Wirksworth Yard.

  • i believe is a 4 stroke has a grate sound.

    They have to start them on full throttle. then once it is slightly warm then they put them down to idle
