Thanks you for this as we are going back to the 1930's it fits so well

Guitar solo a bit jarring considering all the other more 'period' styling

Utterly excellent many thanks for this

@slimtone00 Thanks for the info. That makes sense, too. I never saw the album again. That's why I was so happy about finding the CD. Even without this song it's very good, but I missed having this. (Though I do have him doing an acoustic version of this song years later with Alejandro Escovedo and his band on our local NPR station...)

@ThePeaceableKingdom I had the same album - heard it was a promo, and sold out fast, then the re-make left of this song. Still have mine.

Oh it's great to discover this on YouTube. I bought the CD of Ronnie Lane' s Slim Chance but it didn't include this song like the old vinyl copy of the album did. (It included a couple of songs, "I am just a Country Boy" and "Single Saddle", that weren't on my old vinyl LP) But I always liked this song, this version, and missed it - since my old LP is long gone. Many, many thanks!

Not the best version of this particular song, but it's fucking great!
Ronnie Lane never released a bad tune, just some were better than others. This is one of the best!
