I wonder if all high-status sith lords are douchebags who are afraid to get their hands dirty. First the emperor, and in SWTOR, Darth Baras. Neither can be bothered to get up off their old/fat asses and so they send their enforcers to do the work for them.
It's probably just as well. People shit themselves when they see Darth Vader coming. The emperor shits himself on a daily basis.
