@blueguitarblue I think he answered well. The american black culture discovered this form of expression, but it don't belong to them, belongs to all of us, anyone with the guts to explore the world through the blues. But yea, we do owe them a lot.

Jack: you know better. The Blues may be the down and dirty nasty truth, but the blues belongs to the American black culture which inspired whitee into Elvis, Beatles, Led Zep, The Who, Janis Joplin, The Doors, The Stones, Cream, etc., and You! I'm sure if the question had been worded better, you would've answered better. We owe so much to the black race.
