Roger Federer gets another crack at Rafael Nadal in the final of the 2011 French Open!

This video looks at the tactics I think Federer will need to employ to unseat the defending French Open champion. Specifically, Roger will need to limit the number of backhand to Nadal's forehand exchanges... and hit down the line effectively in these situations when he has a decent look.

I also make my French Open prediction! Federer or Nadal... you'll have to watch the video to find out =)

  • Roger actually played Rafa very well. In my opinion. Roger's backhand is a big improvement compared to 3 years ago. He was taking the ball early, and he could very dangerous backhands from his shoulder height.

Where I believe Federer lost was that he wasn't able to take the opportunities when they were there. Credit to Rafa for playing so well. Was Roger outplayed? Yes and no. He lost, so he was outplayed. At the same time, he could've won had he taken his chances.

  • @hordak83 he already has achieved greatness with 10 grandslams

  • @hordak83 And how many Grandslams have you won? Oh that's right, none! So how about you stop talking badly about the real tennis players, like Rafa.

  • @hordak83 Are you saying Agassi isn't great? Becker? Edberg? Because Nadal has more slams than all of them. It doesn't matter if he gets 16 or not, he's great whether you think he is or not.

  • Great prediction!

  • @hordak83 How many grand slam titles does one have to win to be considered GREAT by you? He has 10. I agree that Rafa does not use volleys or drop shots that much, but he still can beat Federer. What is the difference how he does it? Federer will always be one of the greatest if not the greatest to ever play the game.

  • your prediction was true...
