  • Thank you so very much for posting this great pice by Miss Kitt. She was so wonderful and intelligent. I always wanted to meet her, but never had the chance. I felt terribly sad when recently I heard the news of her passing away. She was such an intelligent lady, so witty, charismatic & human. This number bring tears to my eyes. I remember when she first sang it, the monologue was written by her, she did it all at once she said at the time. Thank you again!

  • I see someone posted that she did write the monologue. It's as if she had gift for all artistic mediums-the only thing she didn't do in this piece was pick up a paint brush.

  • touches me deeply always..near to my tears..Eartha Kitt respect and Love

  • This must have been her Los Angeles concert about 16 years ago! amazing!!!!

  • I DONT LIKE TO WATCH HER VIDEOS ANY MORE!! omg BECAUSE I CAN NOT ACCEPT THE TRUTH IS SHE HAS GONE FOREVER!! MY GODESS!!

  • Sadly her career was `patchy`. I saw her once in in Catford, LONDON in a civic hall, just 4 musicians, a poor lighting plot, hardly anyone there but she gave a proffessional performance.I travelled home thinking she should have been at The London Palladium with a packed house. The monologue on this is longer than the CD version.

  • Sensational Eartha.

  • I miss you Eartha

  • And all those years I thought life naughty, they've made me beautiful... and forty.

  • Improbable mais tellement touchant !!

  • so touching..and it shows again, what great loss and pain eartha´s passing away has caused in my heart..missing you so much, my gorgeous girl!!! rip!

  • @Politeama Hiya, I agree totally with your sentiments. I did have the pleasure of meeting this wonderful lady after a concert in London I was lucky enough to go to with my friend Glyn the year before she died. Even then she had the most vibrant and alive eyes, and when I thanked her for an amazing performance she gripped my hand really tightly and wished me luck for my future. I wished her the same. She will never be forgotten.

    RIP Eartha, Love Karen X
