The Steve Groves Band was another short lived project for Steve Groves, who'd been in a succession of groups beginning with The Kinetics in 1965. and was best known as a key member of Tin Tin, whose single Toast and Marmalade for Tea was a hit in 1971.
Groves co-wrote I'm On The Loose (Again) with Bryan Dawe. It won the Outstanding Performance and Outstanding Composition Awards when Marty Rhone, who had a big hit in 1975 with Denim and Lace, performed the song in the 1976 World Popular Song Contest in Tokyo.
