Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift- RB26 powered. http://tyndago.googlepages.com/rb26powered1967mustang This one was faster than the V-8 Mustang.0-60 in 5.4 seconds. 13.4@109 mph in the quarter mile. The picture car guys hated the fact that the import powered car was faster than the domestic powered car. Check the slicks on the V-8 Mustang in the other video.

  • 13's?? PFFFFFFFFT

  • @hotpapilatino253 the V8 car did 14's. Its on video. The V-8 car was even on a slick, the RB powered car was on a 19 inch street tire.

  • i thought they pulled out the engine from that trash evo and dumped it in

  • @asiancustoms no- from an RB26 powered S15

  • You're right. What a disgrace. Wasting such a good engine on a Mustang.

  • @tyndago Yes that's what I am talking about. One had an RB the rest had V8's.

  • @MrNBowden I don't need to watch it, I was there. I worked on the movie with the picture car guys. Its funny how people try and tell me about things, that I actually did. Check my profile name and look me up. There was one car that had an RB26 in it, and the rest of the cars they beat up had the V8 in it. The RB car worked fine, and was used in a couple scenes. However it was the "hero" so they didn't want to beat it up too much.

  • @tyndago If you watch the special features on the Tokyo Drift dvd they mention most had V8's. And when they show you raw footage you can hear they have a V8.

  • @6941990 well considering the fact that that mustang probably had either a 289 or a 302 from the factory aint saying much, now your comparing one of our worst (in stock form) to one of your best engines. Your comparison is like comparing a Chevy 572 crate engine to a stock engine in a 80s civic. Sure that nissan engine might be faster than a 289 but that really aint saying much. My friend has a 4 door nova with a tiny litle 307 and it has taken many hondas, now thats sad.

I'm just intrigued by your comment.

It really did perform better in real life (not just the movie as what you said.)

So, can you answer my question now?

  • @6941990 congrats on commenting on a comment from a year ago. It performed better because its a movie, they can do anything in a movie. So congrats on being a youtube creeper.

  • @TwoStrokePower653

    Let me make this clear.

If you firmly believe that the V8 is a better engine, then why did the Mustang perform better when it had the RB26 engine?

I've read your comments and all of it were based on ignorant favoritism and biased judgment.

And I know that they existed for a long time. But this is a new era. New, better things are getting made. It's called "Advancement", so you should keep up!

  • @OriginalOrigins

Yeah. Way to ruin a classic engine. :D

  • @Cannabis919

It was an upgrade. The fuck you crying about? :D
