orthern Ghana is subsaharian, quite different from the equatorial rainy South. And very different are also the peaple who inhabit these lands.
The Tambaran tribes are probably related to Mali's Dogon, as witnessed by their conic straw millet sheds, by their animistic religion and by their ability as ironsmiths.
But some Tambaran tribes build absolutely unique 3-tiered huts, topped by the usual conic granaries, and their homes look like small steepled castles. even if they are only made of red clay and straw-
