Best scene in the whole series of Lost in my opinion... but as others said he didn't have to die, just leave the room and shut the door?

What was the point of killing him off anyway? There was no point and therefore, it can't be! Why did he die? Everyone loved him and he is the heart of the show! That's why no one watches this show anymore. Unless Charlie miraculously escaped somehow, I HATE LOST and they can't kill the best character! It's not fair to those who love Dom and now what is Dom doing? They cheated him out of the job! They have to bring him back NOW!

Those b*******! They tricked us! I remember they said, "As long as Dom keeps coming out of his trailer, he gets to stay on the island." What a bunch of CRAP! I used to watch this show religiously, but now they've killed off Charlie, I REFUSE to watch it and I hope they suffer for killing off the favorite! Stupidheads!

Well if you pay attention the locking dispositive of the door is only inside the room. If charlie didn't locked the door from the inside they couldn't been able to lock it. So He died to save desmond... like an hero

With the pressure of the water at the beginning he wasn't able to get out... At the end perhaps...But now he is dead it was the fate that called him
