Fatal Racing 2 (Fan Teaser Trailer)

PLEASE READ:

Imagine if a sequel were made to 1995's Fatal Racing using a modern game engine. This is how I imagine it could look if developed by Nadeo and kept faithful to the original game's design.

The only things I have created are the new title screen and cover art. All other content is made by those credited at the end of the video (this includes game footage, car skins and music remix). All I have done is to bring these elements together.

I will be happy to rectify any omissions in credits. I have gone out on a limb with including screenshots taken by "Trackmaniack" on the ManiaPlanet forums as I wasn't sure how to get in touch (I don't have an account there). but kudos to you, sir.

I will probably end up getting this game and would suggest it to those who enjoyed Fatal Racing. Can' wait to try the car skins!

@mannsi08 *sigh* ... Sorry, I don't have a multi-million dollar software house complete with in-house music recording studio or publishing company to help me produce an actual game. I also don't have a professional 3D animation software suite and hundreds of hours to spend on a video for YouTube.

For the record, the music is not mine, it is by EdKIWL, as stated in the video.

Hey! Okay, so it's 1:30AM and I'm trolling Youtube...decided for fun to do a search for my name and this pops up! I'm Trackmaniack, bro! Glad to see you like my stuff, man, and I'm giddy that you actually gave me some props in a trailer. Yeah, TM2 is a bit like Fatal Racing 2, and that's exactly why I made these cars--they just seemed to mesh :-P To the OP, as well as to Tommybotham, my cars in the pics are over-shiny because I hadn't yet learned how to make them un-shiny...(more)

Disregard Tommybotham. I absolutely loved it, I'd give all my money to see a Fatal Racing 2.

The only thing I didn't like much is that mellow remix of the theme song...

@TShafe88 Hi, and thanks for you comments. I was so pleased to see someone had the skills and inclination to recreate those cars. Can't wait to see your updated skins as well as some tracks - the canyon setting is pretty much perfect. Not sure how much the Trackmania physics will like corkscrews though...

And so they're bad. But, I've re-made them with less shine, so they more accurately resemble the old skins. I'm working on a new skin project right now (cop cars for Trackmania), but when I'm done, I'm planning to revisit the Fatal Racing skins -again- and tweak them some more, as well as (to the best of this game's ability) recreate the Fatal Racing tracks...and, one last tip before I crash for the night: Maniaplanet is 100% free to join ^_^ Get an account and look me up :)
