Everyone always says that Zeus was the rapist in the family, but Posiden was pretty unfaithful to his wife as well. It's because of him poor Medusa got cursed.

Poseidon should've been the semi-antagonist in the Clash of the Titans remake since the Kraken (aka Cetus) was his pet- not Hades! Plus Cassiopeia boasted Andromeda was more beautiful than the daughters of nereus, another sea god.

Linear B tablets show that Poseidon was venerated at Pylos and Thebes in pre-Olympian Bronze Age Greece, but he was integrated into the Olympian gods as the brother of Zeus and Hades. Poseidon has many children. There is a Homeric hymn to Poseidon, who was the protector of many Hellenic cities, although he lost the contest for Athens to Athena.
