@bonetmax its because of the crankshaft. it uses the same type as what V8's typically use which is a crossplane style crankshaft. traditional sportsbikes use flatplane crankshaft layouts.

@TheDelianLeague They technically weren't really designed for the road though. While they are not purpose built race bikes they are very very track focused (90/10).........as are all current 600cc and 1000cc sport bikes. If you are looking for a road bike there are far better choices than a sportbike.

The great thing about 1000's is the power delivery is much more linear than 600s which tend to be more aggressive than thous. Power is in spades in any gear at any rpm
