Serbia's winner of national and international Fame Lab Finale in Cheltenham, UK has been given the honour of bringing in the Universiade flame at the official opening of the 25th Universiade Games in Belgrade, July 1st 2009.
Mirko Djordjevic has been discovered thanks to the British Council programme for promoting young science communicators in Serbia - Beautiful Science "Laboratorija Slavnih / Fame Lab".

  • impressive mirko - my friends were there for fencing but I never would have guessed that some famelab guy would be lighting the torch at the universiade. This would NEVER happen in Australia - you guys have got some good promotions out there.
