Haole Hula

R. Alex Anderson was a Honolulu business man who loved to write songs. He composed Hawaiian hapa-haole classics like "Lovely Hula Hands" and "Mele Kalikimaka." The lyrics and melody of "Haole Hula" captivated me the first time I heard it, I've worked on my slack key version for a number of years.

This video clip is unusual because there are no titles or fades, no camera tricks or edits. It's a simple clip uploaded from a Zoom Q3HD. The only editing done was to trim the start and end of the clip, and that was accomplished in the Q3 before transferring it to the computer for uploading.

The guitar is a Kathy Wingert Model E, in taropatch (open G: D G D G B D from low to high) tuning.
