She was the fourth ever cruise ship built for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines built in 1982 and she led the way in the design of the magnificent Sovereign of the Seas. This is the story of the Song of America! I know its breif but its just I think a quick job to show a short but nice tribute to a beautiful ship in her time.

  • In 1999 was she scrapted? The vid was awesome but it made me sad. I don't know why but it just did.

  • she wasnt scraped she was sold on to airtours (sun cruises) named sunbird, and in 2005 louis cruises bought her and agreed a long term charter to thomson cruises.

  • @kdproductions2008 ... Of which was bought by TUI AG- a German tour operator which bought out Thomson- rebranding all of its airline fleet with the TUI symbol.

  • a wonderful ship - i travelled on qm2, freedom of the seas etc - but NOTHING beats coming home to her . . . . . . .

  • This and the Empress of the seas were the only ships in RCCI fleet that didn"t have sister ships !!
