@delsol01 the pal format has more pixels and a lower refresh rate than NTSC, just the way it was designed.

T.V runs at 24 frames a second anyway so for that it's actually superior, but for games (which came decades later, they had to get convertedm which sucked.

By the dreamcast era PAL tvs and consoles displayed in 60 hz ending the shitty conversions.
