David Harrison - the 'All-Seeing Eye' of Pendle
Best selling author David Harrison ('The Genesis of Freemasonry') talks about the 'all-seeing eye' carved into a church in Pendle, home of the 17th century witch trials. It was believed to have been carved there for this very reason - to deflect the evil of the notorious witches.
All seeing eye? What rubbish. It's an architectural feature of some sort, but I seriously doubt that it's Masonic. I mean for a start, if it was meant to be an eye, they'd make it "eye" shaped! I have seen "all seeing eyes" in far far older buildings than this that looked like.,. you guessed it.. EYES!
