Some tips for playing mandolin with a slide.
You can find downloads and CD copies of my Chicago Blues Mandolin album "Since Way Back" at http://www.cdbaby.com/gerryhundt
Also look for me on myspace and facebook... as well as on YouTube with Ronnie Shellist or Nick Moss.
Let me know if there's anything you'd like me to address!
Where did you get the slide you are using and what company makes it? I haven't seen one of these (just a beginner).

If you think it would be worth your time, it would be great to get either a musical notation or tab of the piece you played in this intructional video including slide portions.
Excellent video by the way. I really need to grab a sawzall and cut my slide down like you have yours in this video. It would be nice to still be able to use the ring finger for freting as well as sliding.

Hey Gerry - I noticed that whenever you stick out your tongue not only does your playing improve but your tone is better as well! That's what I've been missing all this time.

Thank-you!
Been waiting a while for you to post some new stuff. Thanks.
I have your cd - saw you play with Nick Moss, and then you pulled out the mandolin! You won me over right there, so I'm really happy to see some new videos. Look forward to more. There aren't enough blues mandolin players out there. The ones we do have a precious!!
