Church Jasper Prayer Meeting Baptizing 27

My family and I was called upon to start this prayer meeting at the beginning of March 2008 as a result of one of these ladies having stage 4 cancer. But Christ who is gracious has saved, healed and baptized with the Holy Spirit many in the past 4 months at this outdoor meeting in Jasper, Ga Ministers: Bruce Weeks, Calvin Maddox, David Pruett, Franklin King. What a blessing it has been as the fellow ministers have joined us and many are still coming out to Beth St to hear the singing and preaching. Lives are being changed every time we meet. There is nothing like a new soul in the Kingdom of God and this old fashion baptism service in Shoal Creek just brings us great joy to share it with you. Bruce Weeks www.bruceweeksfamilyband.com

How dare you belittle the grace that saves us through the cross of Christ and make salvation a mere formula of religious citation. The water doesn't save us, nor the formula which is simply proclaiming the author of the work. You have fell in to heresy to think that your oneness doctrine saves souls. It is by grace you are save and not works, even religious works. You better go study your bible in its context and not what some religious order has taught you to parrot.

@2ndsunday1 So you took some scripture out of context, doesn't convince me. Faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the Cross is the only thing that is required for salvation. Water baptism is simply an act of obedience following salvation. UPC?

when we are saved and repent of our sins we are to baptized according to acts 2:38 not titles matthew 28:19. the father is a title the son is a title and son is a title.

there is only one name where by man can be saved that is in Jesus Name.Matthew 1:21 Non-Denomination means doing things mans way man tradition but not obeying the holy bible which is gods word. this baptizm service in being done in vain.Im a Pastor under 35

@2ndsunday1 Well I certainly would not agree with you that it is in vain, but you have a right to your belief. I don't think you can equate salvation unto water baptism since it is symbolic to the inward work done by the Holy Spirit. Furthermore you know nothing about the lives of these people that I pastor and the work I've watch Jesus do in their lives. Salvation is by faith and faith alone, not water baptism. There are people who have made it to heaven and were never water baptized :)

dear brother, it may be just a misunderstanding, but Jesus is the Son of God and not the Holy Spirit. I only say it this way because you said, "I baptize you in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, which is Jesus Christ." The Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity. Jesus is the Son, not the Holy Ghost. Yet they are all God. Praise God for all the people who turned from their sin and trusted only in the work of Jesus Christ for their salvation! God bless you!

Baptism is for remission JESUS work on the CROSS was for REMISSION and repentance

JESUS--> is the name of the father and the son also the holy ghost

Matt 28-19 Baptizing them - IN THE NAME OF.

I got baptized on June 6, 2010 in a river like this. It was the best feeling. I have never been so fearless of water in all my life. Praise the Lord.
