A lot of times in the dojo before i became a black belt i use to fail even worse that that because i was on carpet he was on mud. What use to happen was i would do a front stretch kick too high and my other leg wanted to come with it.

The promotions are like 3-6 hours long with only one 10 minute break. The black belt test is like 7-8 hours in one day.i take my black belt test in march.
