  • This sounds better. The engine sounds like it could be stronger up top with some timing adjustments. Adjustable cam gears will definitely help. Sounds very smooth otherwise. How many miles are on the engine? Another thing that could be wrong is with high mileage, the lobes on the camshafts wear down just enough to cause the power to peak at a slightly lower rpm than factory. Worn camshafts + less lift/ duration = less power.

    Sorry I never noticed the comment... The engine had less than 25k miles on it at this point... I've put about that many again on it... still running like a top. Haven't had money/time for any changes other than a custom short throw shifter from jtc customs. These numbers were pretty good for an h22 with such light mods.

    Usually they are around mid-high 170's
