  • Hi Hetal and Anuja ji.........u made poha recipe i didn;t use peanuts....but still it was so good that on same day my husband gave me a gift of diamond ring...thank u once...and pls put some more punjabi recipes if u have...

  • @natasha9993 : Enjoy your ring :)

  • Hi, I saw many recepies of poha. In every recepie of poha, everyone used lemon juice. Can u please tell me whats the use of lemon juice in Poha ?

  • @MrsBhawnakhanna1 : Lemon Juice is to give a tangy taste to the dish...if you prefer to leave it out, it's ok.

  • what would you do, if the poha have become mashed when you've transferred on stove? Did I leave too much water in the beginning and left them on stove for too long?

  • @77elmst

Once the poha mashes up, there is not much you can do (of course it still may taste good, but the texture will not be right). The key thing to remember is to wash the poha gently and immediately drain out all of the water (using a colander if possible). You can always sprinkle more water if needed.

  • My Indian friends were blown away when I offered them some Poha for breakfast! It came out good and thank you for sharing this wonderful dish! :D

  • one thing i have to suggest is frying the peanuts and keeping them aside and adding them later once everything is done. All that moisture from potatoes and moist poha will make the peanuts soggy and wont keep them crunchy.

  • Can u please also tell me how u have washed the poha. 2-3 times I bought thick poha but I dont know because of the expiry date or I dont know how to wash the poha, each & every piece of poha get stick with each other . When I saw ur recepie, each & every flake of poha was non-sticky (khila hua poha which my husband likes very much) .

  • Tried the recipe with cashewnuts instead of peanuts. tastes very good.

  • They became mushy and in lumps, rather than being able to see each grain!

  • is it gud for the person who is on diet?
