Ready Teddy; Campbell Valley Horse Trials ;August 13-15; Entry Level

Hmm it was an interesting event for Teddy and I! I remembered all of our fences :P so no elimination haha. But he did his BEST dressage test ever..and our best score is 45 penalties..we got 63! Worse then last year..so I was kind of bummed. We weren't placing after dressage which hasn't happened since 2008! I think the judge liked upright horses because the horse that won is very upright and the usual winning ponies did badly.

XC was horrible..I think hes afraid of Campbell Valleys XC field! He is the same every year here..he tries to bolt and run off with me..he jumped gravel and skidded to a stop infront of all the fences..i got him over every one that he stopped at from a standstill so no official refusals..but we still got 40 penalties. I know jumping from a standstill is unsafe but thats what Teddy needed. We had no time penalties but went at Pre-Training speed LOL he was such a beast!

Stadiun was awesome! Hes was back to his 'new' Teddy..who I discovered at Topline..'new' Teddy looks at the fences but dosen't back off of them and tries very hard..just use your leg and hes good! :D He was old teddy on XC day. But had we finished on our dressage score we would've been 0.3 off of placing so that would've really bummed me out! I'm just scared we don't have enough points to qualify for championships because Topline dosen't count.. :/

So I'm retiring Teddy from Campbell Valley haha and since mum wants to compete next year Teddy will only get to go to one or two events now that stupid Avalon is closed..but we have Island 22 coming up and he likes it there so maybe our luck will change! :D
