A return to the Khe Sanh firebase after 40 years with my son. A salute to my fellow Marines who served in and around the firebase. It was an emotional experience, one that might provide a sense of healing for those Veterans who decide to view this video. More about the 2008 Vietnam trip at http://jalimager.blogspot.com

Awesome video. I was there in May 2008 to honor the memory of my cousin 1LT Mike Helmstetler's who was KIA on 19 Jun 68 when the H-46 he was flying went down. Thanks to you and all your brothers in arms for your service, especially to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Thx, It was interesting to see them again. I camped at the rockpile in 66, in the Hills 66 and at Khe Sanh and Hill 861 in 67. Went home laid out on a hospital plane but gave Giap's Soldiers hell while there as an grunt FO. Bagged and tagged 100% PTSD 97.
"We have shared the incommunicable experience of war. We have felt, we still feel, the passion of life to its top. In our youths, our hearts were touched with fire."
I watched this video with tears in my eyes. I,m a Vietnam EraNavy veteran. I just recently read "Voices of Courage The Battle for Khe Sahn" Few Americans ever really knew the true story of those 77 days in 67-68. Think what you will about the Vietnam War, but the valor and sacrifice made by the Marines who served and died at Khe Sahn can only be among the most notable in American military history. n.
Many thanks to you sir. I am glad this video compelled you to write your most gracious comment honoring the men who fought and died there and thanks to you as well for your service to our country.
