This is a clip from the September 12, 2011 episode of El Mundo on NHK television in Tokyo, Japan.
In this clip, NHK showcases MechaCon 2011 in New Orleans, Louisiana. MechaCon's annual Charity Auction's beneficiary was NOLA Japan Quake Fund.
Following the devastating March 11, 2011 earthquake and subsequent tsunami and nuclear crisis, the members of the Japanese community in the Greater New Orleans region, like so many others, felt compelled to aid the victims of this heartbreaking disaster. As such, the NOLA Japan Quake Fund was created.
Having survived Hurricane Katrina, the people of our community in New Orleans share a special bond with the people in Japan whose lives will be forever changed by this disaster. The NOLA Japan Quake Fund Coalition's hope is that citizens of New Orleans can assist the Japanese in their time of need, just as they did for us following Katrina. It seemed only natural that MechaCon's Charity Auction helped the cause.

... you know, until I saw the cosplayers there, I actually forgot that I was at Mechacon 2011. How sad is that XD;
I'm glad that everyone in Japan knows that everyone in Louisiana is rooting for them!
