This is why you ALWAYS, ALWAYS carry and extra set of underwear when metal detecting!! Great find and.....apparently a great hunt there in Kansas. And it was right below the surface?? Also noticed your detector, what kind is it?

The coin itself was a beauty...1847-0 $10 gold coin, a few scratches but I'll sure take it!

Great dig! What part of the US you diggin? Dug some old coins myself in civil war sites in VA.
