  • Umm... sorry to tell ya but it is not the same engine thats in the viper.

  • @JackRabbitMerritt They do have the same V-10, but certain things are different, some internals changed, and the Viper has more horsepower. You couldn't have the same specs going from a car to a truck...but it is the same engine.

  • @BroadmoorMotors no the truck motor is cast iron where the viper is aluminum there are several other differences but i cant recall them off the top of my head

  • @JackRabbitMerritt Even if that's true, does it really matter? lol, its still a crazy fast truck with Viper badging...

  • I am 95% sure that this will be a collectors car in 20-30 yrs.I think we are at the peak of the BHP/36 cyl. "race".Just like the 70`s killed the musclecars......

  • @35yearoldboy You know, I could somewhat see that happening...interesting point

  • @JackRabbitMerritt No, the SRT10 Ram does use the same motor as the Viper in those years, aluminum block and all. You're thinking of the old 8.0L Magnum V10 used in heavy-duty second-generation Rams, which is actually what the Viper motor was made from. The original was the Magnum, which became the first 450hp Viper engine. Then they bumped it to 8.3L and 500hp, which was in the second Viper and this truck. The latest Viper used a revised 8.4L version, with the 600hp rating.

  • I am a hypocrite! I posted a response on this vid about 1 month ago and talked pure shit about this truck and now I own one! I bought a 04' with 8,200 miles and I think it's a beast! Anyone talking about a Lightning beating this truck stock for stock is a damn fool! I also had a Oxford white 03' L and it couldn't fuck with this truck!

  • You would think a v10 would have more impressive numbers.

  • This truck is a fuckin joke! V10 with 153 mph top speed but the V8 charger srt 8 165 mph top speed. I must have been a fool to want to trade my car for this 9 mile per gallon price of shit!

  • @JackRabbitMerritt actually it's an aluminum block with iron sleeves, youre thinking of the v10 in the 3/4 and 1ton trucks which does in fact have an iron block

  • i want to have that much power at my fingertips

    no ATs please

  • @JackRabbitMerritt You're wrong about that, it's a cast aluminum block with cast iron liners.

  • 1:41.. lol...

  • The Ram srt-10 is a close rival to the lightning....Bwahahahahaha!. thats some funny stuff right there! I have NEVER been beat by ANY lightning!....EVER! stock lightnings are fast trucks,But they have no prayer against an srt-10 with a good driver at the wheel. This is a hard truck to get used to in order to dominate your pray.....But when you get the seat time in, this thing is very bad ass. My best 60 ft. is 1.51 on the stock tires!...yes i said 1.51! and 1320 in 12.63 and the truck is stock!

  • @clint10m Don't sound like one.
