@aspie101 Yeah, I respect both sides and I think that people don't realize the suffering these soldiers went through on both sides was more than any other American war. They marched for miles without food or clean water for weeks. They fought in some of the most chaotic battles and saw their friends killed by bullets and shrapnel. God Bless the men and boys that fougth and were wounded or killed on both sides.

@aspie101 Yay, don't talk too much in indiscretion. They fought over might once more again. This battle amongst the friggin' chapel of Shiloh was the most astounding read around the civil war I've ever read.
And the songs I heard around this story still makes me mourn.

Man, you're damn right!

They didn't fight for freedom. They invaded, brought violence, oppression, and tyranny to the Southern states.

@potsticker11 i am so sorry, that was my roommate, he is really stupid and i enjoyed the vid btw sorry once again
We should honor the dead on both sides. However it makes my blood boil to hear ignorant idiots call the confederates a buch of racist fascists. Nothing could be further from the truth. Blacks served in the confederates and were treated better than their union counterparts. Many southerners fought to protect their families. My great-great-great-grandfather fought as a confederate dragoon but he was against seccession.

The Confederate constitution directly remanded the Federal one and struck down the provision "all men are created equal" Lee and others opposed this and secession in general but in the beginning the deciding factor in the war was loyalty to one's State.
