In 2006 we visited the Fram museum in Oslo where the wooden ship Fram from 1893 is preserved in whole. Between 1893 and 1912 the Fram was used in expeditions by Norwegian explorers as Fridtjof Nansen, Otto Sverdrup, Oscar Wisting and Roald Amundsen in the Arctic and Antarctic regions

  • ... The Akershus Fortress is not at Bygdøy.

  • Thank you for your comment! You are not the first person who tells me this. See the comment of

    CalensDuathril below:-)

  • the pictures at the end of the film are not from bygdøy, but akershus festning. which is not on bygdøy.

  • You are right. I seem to have sorted the pictures wrong. I have cheched the time that the pictures where taken. The ones in the movie belong to those I have taken in Akershus. Thanks for your comment.

  • The Fram is built like the proverbial brick shithouse! The Heyerdahl museum and the Kon Tiki next door are also worth a visit. Don't miss the Viking museum and the longships.
