no. go to visayas and you will find a lots of spanish pure blood, or half. my wife she's half spanish, and her surname wasn't adopted. also there are many people they look like white. that's discrimination against the spanish, probably because you american filipino following the anglo sacon world they thing is better. at least the spanish intermarried the same they did in Latin America. I come from Brazil (I have Italian and German blood, i would love to have a spanish surname).

I agree with you. Spaniards mixed with the natives and talked about creating the cosmic race. The British (anglos) killed most of the natives, the rest were put into reservations, made them alcoholics, took over their land, and now they say they are the real americans.

You are right, filipinos are asians, just like mexicans are americans, but they both have hispanic ancestry. I am mexican, my had the same dilema, you guys need to overcome. Remember, Filipinos are asians because Islas Filipinas is in the Asian continent, Mexicans are americans because México is in the American Continent.
