This is the second film that portrays the historical reactions to the publication of Rizal's two novels, Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo, which moved the Filipino nation to revolt against the Spanish colonial master.

  • Regardless, there was no regard for human life, no compassion, no remorse that the spanish ever gave, not just to the philippines, but to every country it colonized, did not give one shit about the country's integrity as a people, they only cared for themselves... Haha but we still can rebuild, only because we were in the far east did our culture even hope to survive, in fragments... If I were alive back then, I would be damn sure to piss on legazpi's and magellans grave, and I would today.

  • @rabisrabis and you really need to stop being one sided, I've seen your comments, they are all baseless and without source, we didn't just give in, we fought, but not before they tricked us against each other from the start.

  • the real Filipino are Bisayan or cebuano lol

  • @3stch3r We're not fucking pacific islanders, learn about your heritage idiot, our culture and the way we look, is nothing close to any pacific islanders, except for guam, which actually they are known to share genetic links with other asians.

The only link we have with polynesia for example, is a few terms, as we share this commonality with others in Asia.

  • @freedfighter96 Loanwords don't make you hispanic ;) Especially if the tagalogs used a different term before for greetings. "Magandang gabi" and such.

  • @PhallusFlaccidus (continued) And this is to be expected, most empires had evil ambitions, thats how they became an empire in the first place.

Sorry, but as well I am just tired of some people who try to twist our history, over exaggerating that more good happened than bad, but if that were true, then my country wouldn't be in the state it is in now(besides the damages that were done by other filipinos themselves). To deny that happened is to censor real history, and cmon, we're not PRC...

  • @PhallusFlaccidus While I agree that I unfairly did not give enough light to the Spanish who were actually good and actually cared for the Filipinos to retain their actual culture instead of Spanish, and as well I do agree of what the Americans did, clearly, more damage has been done than good... But is it their fault? No, everyone is at fault here, including us.

But the point is I know there were good people, but in general, the Spanish empire had evil ambitions, but not Spain as a whole.

  • @ThtOnePinoy You are generalizing. There were a lot of very good Spanish people who cared deeply for the filipinos, and on the other hand the Americans did a lot more harm in the Philippines that we ever did, they destroyed the good values and morals of filipino family life with their hollywood and quick money grabbing dreams. They used the filipino in every sense, prostitution, cannon fodder, cheap labour and so on. You should read the real history of your country, before you write bullshit

Hope you're enjoying your History lesson.
