flashes inthe sky

orange mass appears in the sky and then white flashes appear!!! It was a clear night then all of a sudden an orang/white flash appeared we went outside and saw a small area of of sky turn orange then white flashes, there were six flashes in totall then the sky turned back to normal and that was it!!!

yeah i live in holbury, yeah i recorded it at 23.45 on tuesday which would 22nd

It repeated itself every few minutes for 30 mins give or take and happened around 10pm at night

Similar thing here in New Zealand we saw last night, except not orange and was not as bright and spread out more over the sky, no sound, no stormy weather, weird. Even tried to catch it on video but yet to check if it came out. Any ideas?

I have the same thing near Longview WA in my camera. Not as repetitive, but out of nowhere.

I saw the same thing but I also saw bright white flashes. Me my brother and my sister saw them for like 30 minutes about 40 seconds apart. We tried filming but they were so darn fast (we could not even catch one with our 30fps cameras.). I also called a friend who lives 20 miles north and he saw the same thing. It was north of him too so we know it was at least 30 miles away near the town of Chico, CA. The white/blue flashes appeared to be near the town of Oroville, CA. @ 11:45PM 9.7.2011

Same thing happened in scanterbury manitoba ,but there was 3 red flashes.

@bloodmoney22 dude i know what you mean, There were light bluish lights in my sky's in Pittsburgh last night that I, because I was facing the other way and the lights were so bright they reflected throughout the house, thought it was just lightning and it was sparatic at first, but then all of a sudden for about 1 minute this light blinked in perfect rythmn, almost like a strobe light of a plane's wings, but this babay lit up the whole damn sky, it was crazy

Me and my mate were walking home last night at about half one and a bright light flash came in the sky like a flash on a cam. This happened about 6 times always mostly in the same place. True to say we crapped our selfs as we didn't no wat it was !! We are from the UK ( west midlands ) Lizzie x
