@matus1976 haha i thought that too but what he means is that there is no oxygen dissolved in gas form in the water (H2O) therefore organisms can't survive there

@matus1976 what hes trying to say is the redox is very low ,, and that help slow down the oxidization of the ship

@wheelinthesky300 The ship could be around 500 years old. The Byzantine Empire fell in 1453.

500 years agao, the Byzantine Empire was already gone.
