  • This truck has the drive train from a 1969 Chrysler Newport and a Mustang front clip, so it is lowered just a bit. So 383 big block 300 hp with 727 3 speed transmission. It is essentially a half ton car now.

    The initial cherry bombs sounded like a straight pipe Harley. Exterior is stock.

    55 is a nice model. I did a stock 56 with a 6 cylinder. To do 60 mph, 56 engine was at 4000 rpm and 10 mpg. This 49 does 70 mph at 2000 rpm and gets about 17 mpg.
